Title: Satellite hole spectroscopy of thrombin-aptamer complexes
    Authors: Chang, TC;Lin, KC;Chiang, CC;Yang, YP;Chang, WS
Contributors: National Institute of Cancer Research
Abstract: he distinct nonresonant holes in the satellite hole spectra of a fluorescent dye molecule that is covalently attached to various oligonucleotides [d(G2T2G2TGTG2T2G2), d(G4T4G4), and d(CGCGT4CGCG); see schematic representation] in the presence of thrombin are indicators used to detect DNA–protein interactions. The results suggest that thrombin can potentially recognize quadruplex structures, but not a hairpin duplex oligonucleotide. p=5′-phosphate group, N=nucleotide.
